Classification Introduction
  • The tribe Auxesini Lepesme & Breuning, 1952 currently contains 16 species in 8 genera. Photographs of 1 exemplar specimen are currently available for this tribe.
Diagnostic Features of Adults
  • Body moderate-sized, between 10-40 mm; generally elongate. Head distinctly wider than pronotum. Eyes generally reniform, complete (not completely divided into upper and lower lobes). Antennae generally filiform, unarmed; antennae 11-segmented, long, extending beyond tip of abdomen. Pronotum generally elongate (distinctly longer than wide); lateral margins of pronotum unarmed, without distinct spines or tubercles. Elytral apices distinctly acuminate (forming an acute point).
