Extremely similar to that of Grammoptera ruficornis, from which it may be distinguished as follows. Form slightly more robust; breadth (at prothorax) 2.5 mm. Head slightly less depressed and more strongly sclerotized. Ocelli with lens less distinct and pigmented spot indistinct, deep beneath cuticle.
