Classification Introduction
  • The subfamily Anoplodermatinae Guérin-Méneville, 1840 currently contains 27 species in 3 tribes (Tavakilian & Chevillotte, 2013). Photographs of 12 exemplar specimens are currently available for this subfamily.
Diagnostic Features of Adults
  • Antennae borne on raised tubercles. Lateral pronotal carinae complete. Femoral attachment of mid trochanter transverse or slightly oblique. Ratio of elytral length to pronotal length 2.15-5.2. Procoxal cavities externally narrowly closed. Prothoracic trochantin or pleurotrochantin at least partly exposed. Ratio of body length to greatest body width 2.28-3.22 (Lawrence, 2007).
