Gnathoenia tropica Classification Family Cerambycidae > Subfamily Lamiinae > Tribe Ceroplesini > Genus Gnathoenia Diagnostic Features of Larvae Mature larva. Inseparable from those of Ceroplesis species. It very closely resembles Ceroplesis intermedia, from which it differs in the conical tubercles on abdominal tergite 9 which are subcontiguous, being separated by less than the basal width of one tubercle, and by the frons which is much more extensively ferruginous. Length up to 26 mm; maximum breadth (at prothorax) 6.9 mm. Adapted from Duffy (1957). Biology and Economic Importance Biology unknown for members of this tribe.
