Classification Diagnostic Features of Larvae
  • Larva. Very similar to Eupogonius tomentosus, except that the band of hair on anterior protergum is not continuous across the segment and these hairs are finer. Pupa. Similar to E. tomentosus, except that only the disc of pronotum has setae and these are arranged in more or less of a circular manner. Adapted from Craighead (1923).
Biology and Economic Importance
  • Members of this tribe are known from various host plant families. Species of this tribe are potentially invasive outside their native range.
