Classification Diagnostic Features of Larvae
  • Larva. Differs from Pogonocherus mixtus in the finer whitish hairs on body and in the fact than the caudal plate is about the same size as labrum and the carinae much coarser and from six to ten in number; spiracles hardly visible, peritreme not chitinous rimmed. Pupa. Hairs very fine whitish, caudal spine not chitinous. Adapted from Craighead (1923).
