Classification Diagnostic Features of Larvae
  • Mature larva. Similar to that of Sphaenothecus bilineatus from which it may readily be separated as follows. Head with two pairs of conical tubercles instead of two pairs of longitudinal carinae on hypostoma. Ocellus oval; pigmented spot indiscernible. Length up to 22 mm; maximum breadth (at prothorax) 5mm.
