Classification Introduction
  • The tribe Sachalinobiini Danilevsky, 2010 currently contains 2 species in 1 genus. Photographs of exemplar specimens will be available soon.
Diagnostic Features of Adults
  • Body moderate-sized (between 10-40 mm); generally ovoid; with or without metallic reflection. Antennae filiform; antennae variable in length, from short (not extending beyond tip of abdomen) to long (extending beyond tip of abdomen). Pronotum shape variable, from subquadrate (about as long as wide) to transverse (distinctly wider than long); lateral margins of pronotum armed with distinct blunt tubercles.
  • "Adults have coarsely, irregularly rugose, shining elytra and pronotum, the prothorax has hardly developed anterior constriction, small lateral tubercles and round posterior angles; the prosternum has the intercoxal process narrow, extending between coxae; the tibial spines are apical; the eyes are finely faceted; the anal wing cell is absent." (Danilevsky, 2010)
