  • The tribe Hopliderini Thomson, 1864 currently contains 11 species in 4 genera. Photographs of 2 exemplar specimens are currently available for this tribe.
Diagnostic Features of Adults
  • Metepisterna slightly narrowed and truncate at apex; pronotal disc rugose; pronotal lateral margins with 5 spines, of which two are proximate to the anterior angle, and two are proximate to the posterior angle, from which the sides are strongly narrowed to the base; apex of last ventrite emarginate in male (Lameere, 1919).
