Classification Introduction
  • The tribe Mallaspini Thomson, 1861 currently contains 28 species in 10 genera. Photographs of 7 exemplar specimens are currently available for this tribe.
Diagnostic Features of Adults
  • Head shorter than pronotum. Gena projected, acute. Segments of maxillary palp short. Antennae in males surpass elytral apex in more than four antennomeres; in females, at most, slightly surpass elytral apex. Lateral margins of pronotum crenate. Humerus distinct, angulated. Elytral margins somewhat narrowed from base to apex (Galileo & Martins, 1992).
