The branches of Japanese-cedar are sold in the potpourri trade as “dhupi sprigs.” These shoots, in variable lengths from 1-10 cm bear keeled, needle-like leaves 3-10 mm long.
Cryptomeria japonica is native to China and Japan but widely cultivated throughout the world.
