Eucalyptus pyriformis Turcz., Bull. Soc. Imp. Naturalistes Moscou 22 (2,3): 22 (1849).
The fruits of the Dowerin rose or pear-fruited mallee are sometimes encountered in potpourri imported from Australia. The capsules are pendulous on long stout pedicels, broadly turbinate, ridged to ribbed, 2.5-4 cm long x 2.5-6.5 cm wide; rim thick; disc broad, ascending; valves 4-6, level or exserted.
Eucalyptus pyriformis is native to Western Australia but cultivated elsewhere.
