Laurus nobilis L., Sp. Pl. 1: 369 (1753).
Bay laurel leaves are stiff, lanceolate or oblong-lanceolate, 5-9 cm long x 2-3 cm wide, short-petioled.
Laurus nobilis is native to Eurasia and north Africa but widely cultivated.
