Sold in the potpourri trade as “salignum cones,” the papery bracts of these multiple fruits look like spruce cones, 2-2.5 cm long x 1.5-2 cm wide. Branchlets, about 10-30 cm long, are sold as “salignum leaves,” which are linear leaves with an acute tip and entire margin, 4.5-5 cm long x 5-7 mm wide, on thin stems.
Leucadendron xanthoconus is native to South Africa.
