Fruits of the waratah occasionally appear in potpourri imported from Australia. Follicles are 7-11 cm long x 3-4 cm wide, resembling keeled canoes with many rounded indentations on the interior from the seeds.
Telopea speciosissima is native to New South Wales, Australia but are also cultivated elsewhere in Australia, as well as in New Zealand, Hawaii, and Israel.
