Remarks
The species was described from a single specimen. The holotype of the species is presumed lost and was not located after exhaustive search of the Murayama collection at the National Museum of Natural History, Washington, D.C.
The species description states that the species is similar in form the the Sri Lanka species E. obliquecauda (Motschulsky, 1863), but the characteristics of the elytralelytral:
pertaining to the elytra
declivitydeclivity:
downward slope of either the pronotum or elytra
are different. E. fulvus lacks tuberclestubercle:
a small knob-like or rounded protuberance of the exoskeleton
on declivitaldeclivital:
pertaining to the elytral declivity
interstriae 2 while E. obliquecauda has prominent tuberclestubercle:
a small knob-like or rounded protuberance of the exoskeleton
on declivitaldeclivital:
pertaining to the elytral declivity
interstriae 2.
