Diagnosis
3.4–3.5 mm long (mean = 3.45 mm; n = 2); 2.7–2.8 times as long as wide. This species is distinguished by the tapering, gradually sloping form of the elytra; pronotumpronotum:
the dorsal surface of the thorax
conical (type 0) from dorsaldorsal:
of or relating to the upper surface; opposite of ventral
view, with rounded anterioranterior:
the front or forward; opposite of posterior
margin; elytraelytron:
the two sclerotized forewings of beetles that protect and cover the flight wings
tapering after basalbase:
point or edge closest to the body; opposite of apex
1/3 to an angularly rounded apexapex:
point or edge furthest from the body; opposite of base
; declivitydeclivity:
downward slope of either the pronotum or elytra
beginning after basalbase:
point or edge closest to the body; opposite of apex
1/4, gradually, evenly sloping to apexapex:
point or edge furthest from the body; opposite of base
; declivitaldeclivital:
pertaining to the elytral declivity
interstriae weakly outwardly curved in apicalapex:
point or edge furthest from the body; opposite of base
1/4; interstriaeinterstria:
longitudinal spaces along the elytra between the striae, which is not as
impressed and bear smaller punctures.
granulategranulate:
pertaining to a coarse, grainy surface texture
only in apicalapex:
point or edge furthest from the body; opposite of base
1/4; and posterolateralposterolateral:
relating to end of the side part/portion
margin weakly raised to interstriaeinterstria:
longitudinal spaces along the elytra between the striae, which is not as
impressed and bear smaller punctures.
7, not carinate or granulategranulate:
pertaining to a coarse, grainy surface texture
