Morphology-based identification

Zeugodacus atrisetosus can be identified reliably based on morphological characters. Spot characters are the two pairs of setae on the scutellum and only minor dark markings on the scutum and abdomen.

Distribution

Zeugodacus atrisetosus is only known from the island of New Guinea, which is its presumed native distribution.
