Release of Invasive Mite ID to ITP’s dynamic platform

ITP is pleased to announce the migration of Invasive Mite ID from a static site, last updated in 2006, to ITP’s dynamic content management system. Migration will allow for future updates. Mites (Acari or Acarina) are one of the most diverse and challenging group of microscopic arthropods encountered in quarantine. The Acari includes plant parasites capable of devastating crops, animal parasites that can cause economic losses, and human parasites of medical importance. Invasive Mite ID is a comprehensive resource for identifying intercepted mites with nine identification keys, detailed fact sheets, morphology-focused feature pages, a full glossary, and a complete set of references.

ITP hosts over 50 identification tool websites.
