ITP is pleased to announce the migration of Oncid ID from a static site hosted by the website’s author to Fact Sheet Manager (FSM), ITP’s dynamic content management platform. Migration will allow for stable access and future updates to the site. This migration also included taxonomic updates and the addition of 284 new images to the tool. Oncid ID now includes a multi-entry identification key to genera, fact sheets, and a gallery containing images of 407 longhorned beetle species in the tribe Onciderini. This tribe includes 550 taxa distributed across North and South America that can causes severe damage to trees by girdling and killing branches, including the huisache girdler (Oncideres pustulata) and the twig girdler (Oncideres cingulata). Migration of this identification tool allows for stable access and future updates to the site.
